On Monday (Oct. 21), Kanye West tweeted for the first time since Jan. 1 to announce that his new album, Jesus Is King, will be released on Friday, Oct. 25.

It’s due the same day that a documentary film based on the album will be showing at IMAX theaters.

Jesus Is King was originally announced for a September 27th release by Kim Kardashian West, which was later pushed to September 29. It never arrived. The weekend when it was expected to drop, Kanye held Sunday Service events and hosted listening parties for the album. He has since held Sunday Service events every week in locations around the world.

He has another album, Yandhi, that remains indefinitely postponed. He’s said he plans to release gospel music exclusively from now on.
