The high level of mistrust for the Nigerian military has increased with some Nigerians stating that the recent Chadian offensive against Boko Haram could not have been possible if they shared intel with Nigerian Army.
Recall that over the last few weeks, a video of Major General Olusegun Adeniyi emerged, stating that the Nigerian Army supplied fake information to his men which had him fighting for his life as Boko Haram fired more than 100 RPGs and Mortars from all flanks.
This high level of mistrust has since seen Nigerians hailing Chadian military as they assaulted Bojo haram hideouts, killing 100s and looting their weapons.
Boko Haram started over a decade ago in Nigeria’s Northern Borno and has since fought to spread their tentacles across the country’s North.
More than 36,000 people have been killed due to the war and some notable Nigerian Commanders have also given their lives, like Lt. Col. Abu Ali, the Commander of Nigeria’s fierce Tank Battalion.
