Terror and harassment, this is what our Police should protect us from. Instead, that’s what was served to the Dakolo’s after Police storm their residence.
Three policemen barged in without notice and demanded that Busola Dakolo recant her traumatic rape from the hands of the head pastor of COZA church Biodun Fatoyinbo. For more on that read HERE.
A source stated “The men are harassing the Dakolo’s and trying to force them to sign a document from the Inspector General Of Police, Mohammed Adamu, stating that the confession made by Busola Dakolo is targeted at tarnishing the image of Biodun Fatoyinbo, pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly in Abuja, a move the Dakolo’s are vehemently resisting.”
This has happened and of course, the Nigerian public is not having it! The same way the #ChurchToo movement sparked a lot of uproar, it has been the same with the revelation of the behaviour of the Police towards the Dakolo’s.
View a few tweets of outrage BELOW:
The support from the public has been encouraging and Timi Dakolo has released a statement saying he is ready to defend his family “ give me fire and watch me work” is how he ended it.
All in all, this behaviour by police is unacceptable. As succinctly put by Omojuwa – “If we allow them to bully Timi and Busola Dakolo into fear and silence, it’d be one big step for a privileged rapist with his hubris and mindless cozanised penis and a giant leap for rapists like him who’d grow in numbers. This is a collective fight for justice and sanity”
The story of #Curchtoo is a fight on both sides and the public is not going to back down. The intimidation by police is not going to scare Nigerians into silence for more on this view HERE
