The UEFA Champions League is back after the international break and some very important matches that may influence some managerial changes will be in the front burner.

Still smarting from the loss to Mallorca, embattled Zinedine Zidane and his beleaguered and injury-ravaged Real Madrid team will travel to Istanbul to confront Galatasaray.

Zidane will be feeling the heat particularly with a certain Portuguese sniffing around the Bernabeu.

Mauricio Pocchentino will also be under pressure as he travels to Belgrade to confront Serbian Champions FK Crvena Zvezda. The Argentine tactician will hope his underwhelming squad will find a way to get their first win in the Champions League this season.


Champions Liverpool will be in action against Gent. The Reds will be expected to walk through this alone easily.


Barcelona will be banking on the newfound cohesion among their holy trinity of Suarez, Messi, and Greizmann to dispatch a plucky Slavia Prague side in Prague.

Manchester City will be banking on renewed confidence garnered from the victory over Crystal Palace as well as the dropped points Liverpool suffered at Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be looking to add to his seven hundred goal tally as Juventus take on a difficult Lokomotiv Moscow side at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

Juventus will be hoping to consolidate on their solid start to the season and are expected to collect the maximum points from this encounter.

Athletico Madrid will also entertain German outfit Bayer Leverkusen at the Wander Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.

Maximum points for Athleti will ensure that she is still in the mix for the top spot in the group with Juventus.

Bayern Munich will hope to recover from dropped points and injury to key defender Nicklas Suele, with a morale-boosting win over Olympiakos in Athens.


Under fire manager, Niko Kovac will hope to get some respite with a win over the Greek champions.

In other encounters across Europe, Paris Saint Germain will square up against Club Brugges, while it will be an Eastern European affair between Shaktar and Dinamo Zagreb.


Impressive Salzburg will have a Napoleonic hill to climb when they confront Napoli, while RB Leipzig will lock horns with Zenith St. Petersburg.

Benfica will be up against Lyon. While it will be an entertaining affair at the Amsterdam Arena as Ajax Amsterdam confronts an impressive and young Chelsea side. Victor Osimhen’s rich scoring form is expected to continue as Lille confronts Valencia.
