Nigeria has confirmed a case of coronavirus in Bauchi State of Nigeria, and Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. This was confirmed in a statement by the NCDC which reads,
” 2 new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 1 in FCT and 1 in Bauchi The cases have travel history to Germany and the UK. As at 06:25 pm on 24th March, there are 44 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria. 2 have been discharged with 1 death.”
The Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed has come forward to state that he is positive of the virus. Also, the Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, Abba Kyari may have been the Abuja case.
Both were in Germany, a hotpsot of the virus earlier this month.
